Meet Roel Feeney, CG™, AG®, MSPS, CDA™

Roel Feeney is a certified genealogist and accredited demographic analyst with a Master of Science in Population Studies (MSPS) from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the prestigious Certified Genealogist (CG™) designation from the Board for Certification of Genealogists, and the Accredited Genealogist (AG®) credential from the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists (ICAPGen).
Roel spent over a decade as a Demographic Research Analyst at the U.S. Census Bureau, where he specialized in age-cohort modeling, birth year reconstruction, and population chronology. He later led the Vital Statistics Age Verification Division at the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), developing tools that reconcile discrepant birth records and calculate precise biological age across calendar systems.
With over 12 years of hands-on experience in demography, genealogical research, and date-based data science, Roel founded AgeFinder.org to bring the same precision used in government research directly to everyday users – entirely free, fast, and private.
ℹ️ Every calculator on AgeFinder.org has been personally designed, tested, and verified by Roel Feeney to ensure precision across all edge cases – including leap years, century years, cross-timezone dates, and historical calendar conversions.
